Update

Well, it has been a few months since I have updated our blog. Let's see, where to begin. School started for me in September. With crazy schedules, we have all had to adapt. So far, I am loving nursing school. I am president of the PN club and sometimes that is a job in itself. Learning new things is what it's all about. I am already to be done, though. We would love to have another baby, buy our dream home in Walla Walla. We also plan to send Jax to private school. I guess we better start saving. =)

Dan has been busy as always. Work at 6am, and he is often not home until well after 5pm. He is also in charge of writing the company's Food Safety Manual and SQF plans. Needless to say, he is working on the weekends at home too. But, without the plans there would be no company. If there was no Earl Brown & Sons, there would be no winery or cidery. He enjoys his Thursday night bowling league. We also bought season tickets to the new Walla Walla Sweet baseball team for this summer. That will be so fun! For Christmas Dan got season tickets to the Tri-Cities Fever indoor arena football league. So now, we have season tickets for one team or another for every season! I don't know how we find time for it all, but we do.

Jax is loving going to Cheryl's during the day. He even has a best friend, Colin. Colin has come over to the house a few times and they love to play Thomas the Train and just be goofy kiddos. We are working on potty training.....grrr! There are some days he will go to the potty, some days it's like he's a different kid! We know he will get it, eventually. He knows all of his colors, can count by two's, and LOVES to sing. Frank Sinatra is among his favorites. Jax also went on his first overnight trip with mommy and daddy to Spokane and got to stay in his first hotel. He LOVED jumping on the bed...shhh! This fall we plan on taking him with us to all the Husky football games. We think he will love it.

Well, that is it for now. Here are a few recent pictures.

Family Pictures

This past June we had our family pictures taken. Here are a few samples. If you would like to see more, please let me know and I can email you some more. We started at the duck pond at Whitman College and moved to Pioneer Park so Jax could play. He was NOT on his best behavior, that is why we decided to go to Pioneer Park. Our original plan was to head to the gazebo and the aviary at Pioneer Park, but he had other plans. =) All in all the pictures turned out well. Melissa, our fabulous photographer, did an amazing job of capturing our family. We will most definitely use her again..and again...and again.

One year ago today...

One year ago today Jax aspirated on a rock. It was the scariest day ever for Dan and I. As new parents, we struggled with what to do and how to feel. I truly hope no parent has to go through that. We are so happy everything turned out the way that it did. Our lives would not be complete without our little monkey!! The pictures above are some of our favorites.

"Bob"

So Jax has recently learned a new word; "BOB." He enjoys watching Bob the Builder when mommy and daddy allow him. Here is a little video that allows you to see what we hear on a daily basis.

We're Back!

Dan and I have decided that we need to start blogging again.

Things are still busy here. Jax is loving going to Cheryl's (sitter) house everyday. He has made new friends and we often have to stand at the front door for what seems hours so he can hug ALL of his friends. We try to take Jax to the park at least 2-3 times per week. We are finding he needs to run...a lot! He is a little dare-devil!! He has to go down the slides he can't even climb, he has to swing on the big swings, but he can't yet sit on them. He is growing way too fast. He is talking so much these days. Sometimes you don't understand him, so you just smile and nod.

Dan is a busy boy over at the apple line. It is my understanding the dryer burst into flames yesterday, causing them to shut down for the day. So needless to say, they are a day behind already. It won't be too much longer and they will swith to running 4 days a week. Then hopefully he will be able to spend half a day each Friday with Jaxon. This summer they are taking out the old apple line and putting in a state of the art one. He is so excited. Things should run smoother for him.

I am in the last stages of completing my pre-nursing classes. Currently I am taking my CNA class from 5:30-8:30 Monday through Thursday nights. My weekend clinicals start May 9th and run throughout the month. I do miss being at home at nights to put Jax to bed, but I know this is only temporary.

The pictures you see are from Easter. My grandpa McGhan got to come down and visit. It was nice to see him and for him to see his Great-Grandson.
